DIY Expired Domain Drop Catching Beats The Auctions – Heavy Hitter Stand Alone Registrars

DIY (Do It Yourself) expired domain drop catching has always been my Forte. Today, I received news that  a user has beat a backorder on the same domain he backordered on the Pheenix platform. He basically used an API with Dynadot and won the domain directly into his account avoiding the auction process and any additional fees he may have faced if the domain would have been won by one of the heavy hitters. He basically paid approx $9 for a genuine domain drop he owns outright instantly after the drop.

This is great news, as many of my followers have noticed, it is rather easy to beat out GoDaddy, BackorderZone , DomainMonster, many others & Andrew Reberry (HugeDomains) by simply chasing the domains you want on your own.  Everyday there are more & more DIY users entering the pool & as you can see, it becomes rather profitable to gain the domain you chase without having to pay extra fees for the same domain if you get it first.

The formula is really simple. If you snag the domain first, then it is yours.  You can avoid all the auction hassle & backorder fiasco by simply standing your ground.  You can get away with snagging a premium domain at registration cost which will usually equal less than $10 registration fee per domain. You get to own the domain for a year and decide what to do with it later on.

How do I know the DIY model worked? It’s quite simple, users will backorder their domains at various backorder sites & still attempt to DIY their chase list. Sometimes they will win the domain they are chasing into their DIY API accounts.

The misconception is that you will never win anything for trying. However this has been proven otherwise. The problem is that no one wants to contest the big boys. In reality, drop catching domains is changing. Domains that were once only caught by snapnames & pool are caught by anyone including DIY domainers. What happens in domaining stays in domaining.

So you may want to know how to get started with DIY drop catching. It’s quite simple. For one, you may have API access at your choice registrar and have free API access. If so, then simply grab a drop catcher at The software will allow you to register domains at your favorite registrar, The domains you catch will be registered to you. You can do whatever you want with each captured domain name.

What does DIY drop catching have to offer that other drop catch software can’t offer? Well for one – the software works with you. It doesn’t require a middle man. Any domain you catch is instantly registered to YOU. You own all catched domains and it’s up to you what you’d like to do with each domain.

Some users may have some FAQ’s about the drop catch software & below are some answers:
Q.) Is it easy to install your software?

A.) Yes, simply run a setup file and the software will install on your computer. The software runs on any windows system.

Q.) Why should I choose your software over others?

A.) We have been writing drop catch software the longest. We were the first to offer drop catch software and are known across the industry for providing drop catch software.

Q.) What is your money back guarantee?

A.) There is a 7 day money back guarantee. If you don’t like the software, we will give you a free refund – no questions asked.

Q.) Does your software multi-thread and use multiple API connections simutaneously?

A.) No & there is a good reason for this. You are encouraged to open multiple instances of the drop catch software at the same time. However to cram multithreading connections, logging and drop catch attempts into one program doesn’t make sense to us. Running each program seperately frees up more memory and milliseconds which increases your chances to win each domain.

Q.) Do you offer an API solution for GoDaddy / Wild West Domains?

A.) At this time, we are not offering a solution for GoDaddy’s reseller API. We feel the startup costs are high and the API isn’t fast enough to make it a candidate for our software.

Q.) How fast does the software work?

A.) We see anywhere from 2 tries a second to a try every few seconds. It depends on how many people are connected to each API at the same time. On average, you will get about one registration attempt per domain for every second for each account. You are encouraged to chase domains with multiple api accounts as well.

Q.) Why is DropKing different than products like DesktopCatcher & Snatcher?

A.) We have been in business the longest & are well known. This software doesn’t do any whois availability lookups – they are simply not needed. The drop order software is unique because it uses the order & times each domain will expire to concentrate all API’s on each domain one by one. All other programs are aimlessly sending API requests for .com & .net domains.

Q.) Do you upgrade your software?

A.) If a registrar changes / upgrades their API, we may need to upgrade the dropking software. If so, all our customers recieve free lifetime updates to the dropking software free of charge.

Q.) Do you have any specials or deals going on?

A.) Yes – the price of the software is $149 per title. We have a sale going on now. For only $199 – you can download all the software titles has to offer! – Limited time offer, sale ends 12/20/2013.

  • How does the software impact computer performance? Meaning should this be running on a computer by itself and I need to use another computer for myself?

If multiple people are trying to catch a domain via Dynadot how does that work?

  • admin says:

The software can run on the same PC you use. You can minimize the software and run other programs on the same PC. You can check email, try to manually drop catch or run complex programs like spreadsheets at the same time. The drop catch software will continue to run in the background using as little resources possible.
