I got into domaining around 3-4 years ago. I admit it was mostly allowing myself to become naive & simply buy domains for the heck of it. Things that sounded good. I was a n00b who was buying domains @ yahoo domains & 1&1. Whatever steered the best bargains I guess are the focal point of your journey when you start domaining.

One night, I was feeling lucky & I This was back in 2003 or so and real estate was booming! I was asked to develop and at that time I developed websites & scripts.

Everything was honky dory! Yee haa! I was making hundreds a month through a do it yourself parking script, some proper keywords, usefule content & luck.

Here’s a screenshot of my adsense:

From Zero..

I picked “all time” on the report & although I owned the domain name for less than 1 year, here’s my stats:

Totals Impressions: 11,984 Clicks: 3,184 Payout: $919.25

This domain never made chump change. Then all of a sudden Google grabbed it & placed it at top. I was into one month I made $80 out of the blue in adsense. The next month $150 Month after that over $400 in adsense revenue.. Things were trucking along then.. opps wait a second.

The credit card I used to register: topushomes.com over at: AITDomains.com.. Had been torn up. In an effort to avoid credit card bills, I tore up the credit card that was the vehicle to bringing me my adsense money. AIT Domains tried to contact me & renew my domains. The old CC info was declined 3 times. My email was: support@topushomes.com – which got it’s DNS changed to the AIT Domains holder – who let it drop to the next drop catcher.

Had I kept the CC & domain, I’d be sitting pretty right about now. Something that I’ve acknowledged is that google adsense takes care if it’s peeps in the long run for the trust.

In my story here, The adsense converted me to try & drop catch my own drop. Once in pending delete, I felt helpless, useless & *true story* I started to chase the drop from 7pm – 3am the next day thinking it would “drop” & it had dropped already – or was dropping tomorrow.

Years & knowledge helped.. lol But long story short, that’s how I became an expired domains drop catcher.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to give everyone a heads up. As my friends know, I work fulltime at a public high school. This domaining stuff is a hobby – on the side gig. Sometimes my fulltime job supports my domaining expenses & acquisitons. Other times, the money I make from domaining makes me want to quit my job & do this fulltime. Can you imagine that

Anyways – the school season in Chicago IL, is getting ready to start the 09 – 2010 school year. My job is to program every computer we support. I setup, configure and maintain all the software that gets loaded on every piece of equipment. In the summer, I have to load up the software on over 1,000 computers. Yes, this means having to “touch” everything & configure it with the new stuff.

I love my job & I learn so much everyday. Now is my time to shine & I will be crazy busy for the next 30 days. After the wave hits, things will go back to normal. So my blog counts may decrease, or increase. It’s really a coin toss as to how things go. Hopefully everything will go smooth as it has been a great summer thus far.

Just thought I’d share with you some more info about “Me” incase you were wondering what I do all day etc..

Hello friends,

My name is Dan Ramirez. Many of you know me as “Expron” across the web development and domain forums. I wanted a central hub to collaborate with you all my drop catching secrets and tips. Plus keep you in the loop since I always have a handful of projects going on.

First off, many of you may be wondering, well who is Expron – what does it have to offer that I don’t know? Well the truth is that from web development to domaining, you’ll find unique bits and pieces of information you can use in your everyday activities. From web development, programming to expired domain drop catching.

I admit that most my topics will be related to expired domains, drop catching and the 60 second domain auction I run: DNKO (Domain Knockout). Truth of the matter is that I have stopped developing for others. I work for myself only and pioneer new things. I have been blessed with the ability to catch quality domain names & build tools. I enjoy catching expired domains and building useful websites & tools.

So grab a fresh cup of coffee, relax & let’s get started. I don’t hold anything back and while that seems to piss a lot of people off, I am glad to help you in anything I can. I will be sharing my personal drop lists here and don’t mind if someone else grabs the same names I am trying to catch. My main focus is to build a community. This community of drop catchers can one day become the biggest drop catching group against the bigshots. We can join forces and make an impact on the domain market.

I hope you enjoy your stay & come back often. I don’t have a life other than domaining about 14+ hours each day.I eat, sleep & dream domain names. I catch good names that are worth more than reg fee & have the tools to filter the best. I expect to update this blog frequently, so check back often. Any questions, let me know – that’s what I’m here for.

Thanks again & I will see you around.

Dan
